Pando is small on purpose. We want every family, employee, and student to feel a sense of belonging. Our space is foundational to fostering a welcoming culture. We consider every nook and cranny as a potential learning environment.
8 Dynamic Spaces for Inquiry and Play
Poppy Room
Cozy and home-like, the Poppy Room and its 3 teachers supports up to 14 children between the ages of 3- and 5-years-old. Students have ample opportunity to play, nurture relationships, master self-help skills, and explore our Reggio Emilia inspired take on the state’s NM PreK’s curriculum.
Sunflower Room
Spacious and sunny, the Sunflower Room and its 3 teachers, welcomes 16 children between the ages of 3- and 5-years-old. Much like the Poppy Room, children have ample opportunity to play, nurture relationships, master self-help skills, and explore our Reggio Emilia inspired take on the state’s NM PreK’s curriculum.
Art Studio
An aesthetically inspired space that creates opportunities for children to explore novel materials and tinker.
Garden
An outdoor classroom where art, nature, play, and observation are woven together.
Backyard
Run, jump, hide, build. Let loose, hunker down. Take a risk. Lay back and watch the clouds float by. Our backyard is home to a climber, comfy turf, sand box, and ample loose parts.
Frontyard
Mud pit, play house, bikes and scooters. Wave at the garbage man. Play with the hose.
Coop
Our chickens enrich our community by producing eggs, turning our compost, and offering the occasional feathery snuggle.
The Office
Everyone at Pando is a learner - especially the adults. Our office is where we spitball the culture and systems that make Pando possible.
